The 2020 Ernest Hemingway Literature Prize was awarded to the Cuban writer and screenwriter Senel Paz , during the third and last day of the XVIII International Colloquium dedicated to the American writer.

Representatives of the International Historical Literary Movement based in the United States communicated through the YouTube channel the recognition for the literary journey and the arts in general, as announced by Prensa Latina .

Pedro Pablo Pérez , president of the jury, said that the trophy will be awarded by the organization to the author of the story The Wolf, the Forest and the New Man , from which the script for the admired film Strawberry and Chocolate emerged .

Films like Una novia para David and Adorables mentiras are some of the most important cinematographic works of Senel Paz , who also contributes as a dramaturgical advisor in Cuban and foreign cinematography.

The boy that (1980), The king in the garden (1983), The boys have fun (1989), The sisters (1993), Don't tell her you love her (2004) and in Heaven with Diamante (2007) make up his literary repertoire of novels and stories.
