Dozens of Angolan writers´ books are part of the literary samples of 35 countries participating in the 30th edition of the Havana Book Fair, in Cuba, was reported in this capital.

According to the Jornal de Angola newspaper, the event is considered as one of the most important of its kind in the world and on this occasion the Angolan pavilion exhibits works in the novel, short story, poetry, essay and anthology genres; as well as miniature paintings and craft.

The writer and director here of the National Institute of Cultural Industries (INIC, in Spanish), Domingas Monte, and the head of the National Library, Diana Afonso, were among the personalities who attended to the event´s inauguration, the newspaper stressed.

At the international event, Monte presented her book O sapo azul dedicated to children and teenagers and took advantage of her stay in Havana to visit several fine arts institutions in the island.

The INIC´s highest representative held meetings with Cuban executives aimed at reinforcing and reactivating the cultural exchange and cooperation between the two States, the Jornal de Angola reported.

Angola, the publication recalled, was the guest of honor at the 22nd edition of the Havana Book Fair in 2013 and participated with a delegation of more than 100 people including writers, artists from several disciplines, cultural agents, art critics and journalists.
