La Casa de Alba Cultural in Cuba today host the virtual presentation of the book The finger in the wound, which deals with the past in Latin America and the US expansionist interests in these lands.
The text bears the signature of the Cuban historian Hassan Pérez and, according to the author himself, constitutes an approximation to the facts and interventionist attempts of the northern nation in the region from geopolitics and national security (1945-2019).
According to Pérez told the press, the material was prepared "based on a collective compendium on this subject and was written with the support of the Bolivian Ministry of the Presidency and the Plurinational School of Public Management."
The volume had its official launch in March 2019 in a ceremony held at the Casa Grande del Pueblo, in Bolivia, with the presence of the then president of that nation, Evo Morales, and other cultural and political personalities.
"Brother Hassan Pérez, thank you very much for this contribution, we hope that reading this book will allow us to debate to continue improving our democratic, cultural and social liberation," the head of state told the writer at that time.
The text arrives in Cuba on the 12th anniversary of the institution of sociocultural integration with Latin America, the Caribbean and the rest of the world, destined to enrich the social and cultural life and the development of ideas, artistic and literary creation of the peoples.
