60 years of the first National School of Art Instructors (ENIA), inaugurated by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, on April 14, 1961, will be celebrated with a day of online cultural actions that begins today.
The program, organized by the National Council of Houses of Culture (CNCC), the National Center of Art Schools ( CNEArt ) and the José Martí Art Instructors Brigade (BJM), will run until the 14th and will host the delivery of awards, the projection of audiovisuals and panels, among other activities.
At nine in the morning on Monday, Diango González and Emilio Toledo, presidents of the CNCC and the BJM, respectively, will deliver the opening remarks of the day, while AriadnaPadrónGarcía, vice president of the CNCC, will be in charge of the message of opening.
For April 13, the Casa de lasAméricas plans to make a donation of books to the CNEArt, destined to the Schools of Art Instructors and there will be a virtual launch of methodological brochures for the teacher-instructors who work in the Houses of Culture.
According to the program, the winners of the Olga Alonso National Award, in the 2021 edition, will be announced through the official Facebook pages of the CNCC, CNEArt and the BJM, as well as through the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Culture.
From the headquarters of the CNEArt the Creative Space will be recorded, which will have the appearance of Margarita Mejuto Fornos, integral methodologist of the presidency of the CNCC and the president of the BJM; meanwhile, for two in the afternoon the screening of the documentary Instructor Artist is scheduled.
On Wednesday, April 14, the online panel 60 years of the Schools of Art Instructors: challenges of the profession in the current Cuban social context, will be broadcast, moderated by Ana Margarita Morejón, where Abel Prieto, president of Casa de Las Américas; Dr. Isabel Monal, prominent Cuban researcher and intellectual; Humberto Rodríguez, professor instructor graduated from ENIA and Doris Colombá, professor instructor from BJM.
Finally, convened by the CNCC and CNEART, at 11:00 am the Twitazo 60 years of Fidel's imprint will be held in the Art Instructors Schools.
The ENIA opened its doors in a context marked by the invasion by Playa Girón, the National Literacy Campaign and the Cultural Revolution that was unleashed throughout the national territory, with the purpose of channeling the skills and artistic vocation of students, workers, peasants and housewives, and thus materialize one of Fidel´s dreams.
