The dance competition Ballet Beyond Borders (BBB) will be presented in Cuba from today until January 13 as part of a mega-show to promote human understanding and generate vital communication among participants.
The event consists of an international festival that promotes cultural, educational and theoretical exchange in the world, and this first edition will be hosted by Lizt Alfonso and the founder of the event, Charlene Carey, who will give details about this edition.
On this first day in this capital, the BBB will be in charge, after the registration of the contestants at 10:00 local time, of creating a giant mural at the headquarters of the Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC) company, located in Plaza Belen, in Old Havana, as well as a Flash MoB, a dance integrated by all the participants.
This creative activity will be followed by a visit to the National Museum of Fine Arts, to close the first day with the official opening gala and the performance of LADC. On Wednesday, the competitions will begin at the central venue of the event, which will be the emblematic Martí Theater in Old Havana, although other venues will host the great festival, such as the Amphitheater of the Historic Center of the capital or the MalecónArt 255 center..
