As the 19th edition of the Fiesta del Tambor Festival, the Organizing Committee of the event, Sabian and ARTEX announce the International Competition "Guillermo Barreto in Memoriam", addressed among others to professional musicians or winners of previous editions of the festival.

The registration process is the same as in previous editions, through the event's website (www.fiestadeltamborpopular.com), to be reconfirmed by e-mail to piloto@cubarte.cult.cu with the following information: full name, age, country, and band membership. Cuba-based musicians, who can participate for free, may register by phone or via WhatsApp (54016081).

The competition will take place on March 1 and 2 at Hotel Nacional de Cuba’s 1930 Hall at 4.00pm, with two-minute drum solo performances exclusively in rumba key.

The five finalists will compete for the awards on March 6 at 9.00pm at the Amphitheater on Havana's Avenida del Puerto.
