Cuba announced on Wednesday that it will inaugurate a stand on the occasion of the annual Presidency of the G77 plus China, in the framework of the 2023 Havana International Book Fair.
It will be held next Friday in pavilion A, room 10 at the San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said on its Twitter account.
In January, Cuba assumed, for the first time, the presidency of that multilateral group in recognition of its defense of the interests of the southern nations.
On that occasion, President Miguel Diaz-Canel stressed that Cuba had taken the responsibility, for one year, with the will to work on the common objectives of the countries that make up this bloc of political consultation.
The group consists of 134 of all 193 United Nations members countries, accounting for 80 percent of the world’s population, and the main fields where it operates are trade, industry, food, agriculture, energy and finance.
