During the 29th International Book Fair in Havana (FIL Cuba 2020), celebrated from February 6th to 16th, the Cuban music will have its space in a stand located at pavilion A-7 in the Fortification San Carlos de la Cabaña. This is thanks to the work that some organizations of the Cuban Institute of Music did as a team, such as the National Museum of Music, the Factory of Musical Instruments, Colibrí, Abdala, Bis Music and Egrem.

According to the organizers in a press conference, the idea has as objective to facilitate the access to products about Cuban music, as well as to reinforce work relations among the institutions related to the field, which will also be linked to the editorial production with other presenters and participants in this fair.

This is the 4th time that this stand for Cuban music is accessible, and this occasion it will be devoted to Adolfo Guzmán, to the 95 anniversary of the group Matamoros and to the 100 years of María Teresa Linares.

More than 320 products will be available for people, including books, scores, and magazines. Besides, the visitors can enjoy musical performances, raffles, signing of photos, posters, and CDs.

The activities will start on February 7th and the presentation of the book ´´El tres en el punto Cubano, metodología para su enseñanza´´ by Francisco Rodríguez will be on February 8th at 11 am.

The day 11, at 2 pm, the exchange will take place in honor of María Teresa Linares and Alfredo Diez Nieto, conducted by the specialists Maria Elena Vinueza and Ailer Pérez.

For the celebrations on February 14th, some more activities will take place such as the presentation of products for children by Bis Music, including the CD ´´Razón de ser´´ by Vocal Renacer, as well as the song ´´Paraíso´´ by Jan Cruz and ´´Suelta´´ by Adrián Berazaín and Ray Cruz.
