On this Sunday, International Theater Day, three Camagüeyan art instructors were recognized with the Espejo de Paciencia Award, in a ceremony held in the Nicolás Guillén Protocol Hall at the Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte and Loynaz Revolution Square.

Standard-bearers of art and culture, the honorees Regla Luisa Mora Fernández, Jesús Benito Alsina Castillo and Ernesto de Jesús Cisneros Reyes, were prized with the highest distinction granted by the Provincial Directorate of Culture due to their uninterruptable work and sensitive contributions in pursuit of a self identity.

In the specialty of Dance, Regla Mora and Benito Alsina stand out for her work as methodologists of the demonstration and contributions to various groups, such as the Golpe a Golpe sociocultural project or the Caidije Haitian Traditions Group.

Jesús Cisneros Reyes, who from the theater left a relevant mark in different penitentiary centers of the province by imparting his knowledge, confessed excitedly after the ceremony that "theatre is my life."

With community work as the center of their work, the three experienced art instructors from Camagüey defend their work, proud to receive the highest distinction of the Camagüeyan culture. (Text: Claudia Artiles Díaz/Radio Camagüey) (Photos: Bárbara Suárez Ávalos/Radio Progreso)
