Five exhibitions of high aesthetic value are presented by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC) in its art galleries these days in celebration of Cuban Culture Day. 

Its directors, specialists, curators, and art critics have worked very hard to ensure all the exhibitions in Collage Habana, Galiano, 23 y 12 and ARTIS 718, next to the headquarters of the Cuban Association of Artisans and Artists (ACAA) in the province of Matanzas, as expressed in a virtual press conference, the specialist Marlene E. Sánchez, director of Communication of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods.

 She invites us to the two-person exhibition Aliento (Breath) by Zaida del Río and Cristhian González-Téllez del Río at the Collage Habana Gallery. An exhibition already reviewed on our website: Regala un hálito de esperanza new exhibition at Collage Habana. 

"The exhibition gravitates around bodies from the same galaxy that gives life to a possible planet called Breath and, in each piece, we discover in an impressive world, dreams, and realities that give meaning to the life of the human being and are an expression that art also saves and heals the soul and the body." 

Traumar exhibition by the artist Ibrahim Miranda was inaugurated at the Galería 23 y 12, just a week ago. 

In his words to the catalog, the critic and curator Orlando Hernández discovers in Miranda's works: "Bubbles from a rare seedbed. From a lung tired of holding its breath any longer. From a silent archive, perhaps empty, where the incomprehensible history of the world is written. All the past, all the future. And where neither the light nor the noise of the present ever reaches."

 Traumar presents the peculiar stamp of the creator, who has assured that art is for him a "therapeutic vocation" in which he unloads his spirituality and his universe. 

After completing the exhibition circuit in the Collage Habana galleries, the traveling group shows Carteles opened on Thursday 14 October at the ACAA headquarters in the city of Matanzas, the first stop on a tour that will take it to various provinces of Cuba. 

For the FCBC, the exhibition has several motivations, as it is a tribute to the 95th birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and a celebration of 43 years of work by the Ministry of Culture's company on 20 October. It is also the main institutional action for the Day of Cuban Culture, and the Day of Triumph for the 63rd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution. 

After its presentation in Matanzas, it will continue its tour in Santa Clara, on November 18, followed by Camagüey, on December 16, while it will arrive in eastern Cuba in 2022, first in Holguín, on January 14, and will end in Santiago de Cuba, on February 13. 

Carteles brings together pieces from the heritage of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Biblioteca Nacional de Cuba José Martí and the collection of the Premio Nacional de Diseño Gráfico (2019) Pepe Menéndez. 

On Saturday 16 October, at the Galiano Gallery, Post-It 8. Arte contemporáneo cubano will be inaugurated the exhibition competition in person, with the works selected by the jury, who selected 27 artists from 158 new creators from all over the country who applied to the call for entries. 

We will be able to appreciate painting, photography, installation, sculpture, video installation, video, mixed media, and performance. 

There will be also a virtual version, for which the teams of Behart - Red Colaborativa de Artes Visuales and ArteMorfosis - Plataforma de Arte Cubano have once again been involved.

 The virtual exhibitions will be published after the on-site inauguration and will be present on the Internet for a longer time. 

And finally, at the Artis 718 Gallery, there will be the exhibition Pausa, a personal exhibition of recent work by the artist Harold López. The opening will be on October 21, at 5:00 p.m., on Calle 7ma, esq. a 18, Miramar, in the capital's Playa municipality. 

 Invitations are extended, in a gradual return to an everyday life that requires maintaining protection measures before the COVID-19.
