The 6th Corazón Feliz International Children's Arts Encounter takes place in Havana from May 26 to June 2. This festival encompasses diverse artistic expressions, including the visual arts, and they offer interactive exhibitions and installations. An example is the temporary exhibition "Soñar Despierto" by the group La Salamandra.

For the first time, an animation workshop and a puppet workshop ("paper theater") are included in this festival. Theater companies from Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, and Cuba also attend the event.

Some space for reading at House and Museum of Jose Marti, Cuba’s National Hero is also conceived. There, some special moments included the reading of one Jose Marti’s tales for children that is called “Bebé” as well as the performance by Cuban singer and songwriters Rosa Campo, Lidis Lamorú, Rochy Ameneiro and band Abrakadabra alog with the Cuban Actors Ale García and Iris Mantilla.

Other attractive proposal was some kind of a demonstrative making off of series “El teatrino de Diego” and the special performance by theater group Retablos with the theater play Galápagos.

This festival has a significant impact on the children and the Cuban society. It offers an opportunity for the children to enjoy a wide variety of artistic shows including music, theater, dance, puppet, circus, visual arts. This way, the children can increase their cultural background, discover their talents or abilities and they can develop their artistic sensibility. This festival instills values such as solidarity, friendship, respect, love for the national identity and Cuban rooths; and the children learn to value the cultural diversity. Meanwhile, it provides the children some safe and funny space where they can play, laugh, dance, enjoy their childhood and strengthen their self-esteem.

Fort he Cuban society, Corazón Feliz is some space contributing to promote the culture for children; making it possible for the Cuban artists to be well- known through their work for the children. Involving the community, it strenght the social ties, foster the education, health and the children’ walfare.
