For several days now, the following have been shared on digital platforms: historical remembrances, important choreographic works, and significant performances, as part of the fifteen years of the Havana Dance Center, an institution that brings together the professionals of this artistic movement in the Cuban capital. 

Founded on 28 July 2006, the center is based in the former Club de Cantineros, a building located at Número 111, entre Genio y Refugio on the emblematic Paseo del Prado, and its facilities administratively house the work of a large number of Havana groups and also serve as headquarters for the Rosario Cárdenas, MiCompañía, and Santiago Alfonso companies. 

It also represents the Ecos, BanRarrá, Danzas Tradicionales de Cuba JJ, Raíces Profundas, Rakatán, Así Somos, Malpaso, Narciso Medina, Havana Queens, Yoldance and Acosta Danza companies. 

As we can appreciate in this space, different groups with very diverse aesthetics and sui generis expressions are ecumenically united, a fact that contributes to and enriches contemporary Cuban dance, as each of them zealously demands that their dancers maintain and surpass the high technical and interpretative rigor achieved. 

Also, during these fifteen years, this place has been an important space for dialogue for all dance and for this expression to build bridges to other branches of art, since its halls, corridors, and staircases have served as galleries and areas for exhibitions or audiovisual projections. 

The Sala Noemí - created thanks to the collaboration of the Brownstone Foundation - has played an important role, as it has fostered active links with the Faculty of Dance Art and the University of the Arts of Cuba. 

Among the missions of the Havana Dance Center are thematic cycles, workshops, masterclasses, thesis presentations and rehearsals open to the community, as well as the organization of the eagerly awaited events: Punto fugaz, Rumba del Prado, En exclusiva con... La danza y sus estilos or the video-dance exhibitions of the Festival DVDanza Habana. 

This site has a team of specialists-promoters who facilitate the creative management of the most notable Havana dance makers. 

As well as the talent and energy of young dancers, who share with great masters of the scene who offer their knowledge from the halls of the center, a synergy that achieves an unbeatable artistic result. 

At present, the Havana Dance Center, from the very heart of the city, beats with energy fertilized from the most diverse poetics of movement, ranging from popular, traditional folkloric to the inventions of contemporary dance, flamenco art, or academic dance, on a path that is already on its fifteenth anniversary, marked by the most genuine roots and with the seal of the universal Cuban.
