Havana family invited to the Children's Book Festival

The Cultural Program of Havana, attached to the Office of the Historian of the City , calls to participate in the Children's Book Festival between March 29 and April 4.

The celebration is dedicated to planet Earth , caring for the environment and will honor the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen and the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí .

In accordance with the event's schedule, virtual and face-to-face actions will be carried out, the latter will be informed later to the extent that the epidemiological situation allows.

On the other hand, during the celebration day, it is planned to deploy the Children's Illustration Workshop on the WhatsApp platform of the Casa de las Tejas Verdes, where the participants will create works based on stories presented by Cuban writers.

The drawings will be part of a digital anthology that will be shared with children in the rest of the country.

Added to this initiative is the Café Dulce community project, which will be inviting people from the capital of different ages to participate in the workshop ¿Libro, puerta o garabato ?, taught by the writer Soleida Ríos.

Added to this great festival of children's literature are the institutional Facebook pages and the Cultural Program of the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana that will publish, during the week, the results of the workshops and other actions.

At the same time, the messages will invite reading from home, based on the presentation of children's books by different writers and publishers in the country.
