The 3rd Cultural Festival with Cubans Living Abroad “Cuba va conmigo (Cuba Goes with Me)” will be held from Nov. 7 to 17, 2024, in celebration of the 505th anniversary of the founding of the city of Havana.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event will have a hybrid format (face-to-face and virtual), bringing together diverse cultural presentations in all art forms, with emphasis on weekend programming in theaters and other cultural spaces in Havana.

This new edition will be held within the framework of the 15th Havana Biennial, where the Plastic Arts Festival invites to share spaces with all artistic manifestations, based on the cultural richness that brings together the work of cultural personalities with consolidated careers abroad and talented young bearers of the Cuban identity.

The program includes exchanges with students from art schools and visits to community projects, as well as the awarding of the “Cuba va conmigo” contest for children and young people, for descendants of Cubans living abroad.

According to the festival's press release, residents abroad and their descendants interested in participating in international cooperation projects and investment businesses aimed at the development of arts and culture will have the opportunity to exchange with business executives and entrepreneurs in the cultural field.

The “Cuba va conmigo” Festival is consolidating as a space for dialogue and exchange with fellow Cubans abroad, to strengthen artistic and cultural ties with the country and its audiences; highlight the value of artistic training in Cuba and promote the unity of all Cubans in support of the homeland and the defense of its sovereignty.
