The Havana Chamber Orchestra is getting its strings ready to bring to Cuba Hollywood Classics in a single show that will celebrate a new anniversary of the band.
The Marti Theater in Havana will host the musical proposal next Sunday, which includes pieces by great composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Alan Anthony Silvestri, Alexandre Desplat, among others, and which are part of the soundtrack of numerous films.
Directed by Daiana Garcia, the classical music format will accompany the compositions with the projection of some fragments of these films.
On this occasion, pianist Aldo Lopez-Gavilan, clarinetist Alejandro Calzadilla, wind instrumentalists of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Entrevoces Choir, under the direction of Maestra Digna Guerra, will also perform.
In charge of musical production and orchestrations, the Havana Chamber Orchestra will count on the collaboration of composer, pianist and arranger Jose Victor “Pepe” Gavilondo..
