On the occasion of the coming November 25 commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the death of the undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the José Martí Cultural Society in Camagüey carries out various activities to evoke the legacy of whoever also served as an essential promoter of the work of the National Hero of Cuba. 

The Master of Science Antonia Maricela Valido Portela, president of the local branch of the aforementioned non-governmental organization, said that keynotes on the life and work of Fidel Castro are held on radio and television, as well as in work centers, institutions, schools and communities.       

He added that the Casa de la Memoria, based in the capital of Camagüey, promotes the bibliographic funds and relevant works of prominent local and national researchers.

In statements to Radio Cadena Agramonte Valido Portela reported that this November 25 will take place at the Casa de la Memoria, in the morning, the Methodological Scientific Workshop "The thought of Fidel Castro", which will feature presentations and exchanges on Little-known aspects of the life and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
