Latin Grammy for the Aragón Orchestra, Alain Pérez and Isaac Delgado

The disc Cha cha chá: homage to the traditional, of the Aragón Orchestra and the singers Alain Pérez and Issac Delgado, won today the Latin Grammy in the category of Best Traditional Tropical Album.

With the seal of the Company of Recordings and Musical Editions of Cuba (Egrem) and El Cerrito Records Studio, from California, the recording constitutes a tribute to the rhythm that internationalized Cuban music in the middle of the 20th century, and that it had in Aragon to one of its best exponents.

 

The eight-song album had the collaboration of Cuban flutist Orlando Valle «Maraca». According to its creators, it was the result of a long and rigorous recording process during August and November 2020 in the midst of one of the outbreaks of the new coronavirus on the Island.
