The call for these festivities also includes the commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the creation of the Friendship Association of the Chinese People with Latin America and the Caribbean.
On the occasion of the launch of the call for these celebrations, the Chinese ambassador in Havana, Ma Hui, and the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Cuba-China Friendship Association, Caridad Diego, held a meeting.
The official thanked the diplomatic for his presence, which included a tour of the House of Chinese Arts and Traditions in Havana's Chinatown.
This included other institutions such as the Lung Kuong Grandparents' House, the Cuban School of Wushu, the Minh Chin Tang Society and the Confucius Institute.
For his part, Ambassador Ma Hui highlighted the spirit of the Cuban Revolution and his friendship with the People's Republic of China and pointed out that "Cubans and Chinese are entrepreneurs and always dare to be the first in their plans to obtain the desired results."
He also pointed out that "we will continue working together to see the China of the Centennial in 2049 and ten years later, the centennial Cuban Revolution."
Authorities from the government, the Friendship Association, and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples also participated in the meeting.
