The legacy of Cuba's National Hero Jose Marti is remembered on Thursday in different parts of the world, on the 168th anniversary of his birth.

Floral wreaths for the Cuban independence hero and intellectual were laid in the numerous busts, statues and parks dedicated to his figure in Latin America and other latitudes.

In El Salvador, despite the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the usual pilgrimage, the Association of Cuban Residents did not overlook the date and shared on social networks Martian phrases, as well as his emblematic simple verses, recited by children and adolescents of the community.

Meanwhile, Cubans on State mission in Costa Rica, residents and representatives of the local Committee of Solidarity with the Cuba, joined the tribute held in the National Park of the capital of El Salvador.

Uruguay was also the scene of tributes to the Apostle of Cuban independence, who also served as consul of that nation in the United States.

In Cuba Square, located in the Uruguayan capital, the Coordinating Committee for the Support of the Cuban Revolution greeted the anniversary with a statement in which she stated that Marti is a reference for the struggles for freedom and independence of the peoples of the world, especially the working class.

Argentina's Minister of Culture Tristan Bauer paid tribute to him along with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission and, in Italy, Cuban residents carried out activities inspired by his legacy.
