My Havana is Music is the slogan of the 10th Edition of the International Festival A Bridge to Havana, which will be held between April 29 and May 1.

The event, created and directed by Jorge Luis Robaina, leader of the Karamba group , is sponsored by EGREM Company, and will have its main stage on social networks.

The conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic will not be an obstacle to exposing a wide variety of views that will include concerts, theoretical debates, enjoy archival materials, interviews, a photo contest and much more, Robaina said exclusively to the ACN.

Among the issues that will be analyzed by those attending the event are the challenges derived from the impossibility of holdingconcerts and massive shows in the midst of global uncertainty, added the musician.

In addition, Cuban musicians, journalists, musicologists and international figures who have participated in previous editions of the meeting will reflect on "Revolution in the music industry: how to become visible and generate income in the new digital era."

Another of the Festival's highlights will be the publication of the second volume of the CD A bridge to Havana, featuring artists such as the duo Andy and Lucas, Carlos Torres, Buena Fe, Waldo Mendoza, David Blanco, Perrozompopo , Kiko and Shara , among others.

The Festival A Bridge to Havana aims to unite professionals in the musical environment and create alliances in a unique environment to assess thebenefits and challenges imposed by the music industry in the current context.

Suspended last year at the beginning of the presence of the new coronavirus in the country, the contest had planned the participation for the first time in Cuba of the prominent Spanish singer-songwriter Alex Ubago , with presentations in several provinces.

It continues to be itinerant, inclusive and massive, only this time the three aspects will be through the different platforms thathave given so much help to artists and musical and cultural institutions, highlighted the popular creator.
