Cuba's Los Van Van orchestra informed on social media that it will perform at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in New York on April 29.
It will be a single concert in the tri-state area and tickets are already on sale online, according to the band’s official Facebook profile.
Regarding the concert, the digital site lehmancenter.com described Los Van Van as Cuba’s music sensation which, along with artists like the Beatles, Aretha Franklin and Creedence Clearwater Revival, changed the course of popular music for an entire generation.
It added that the orchestra’s recordings are still listened to outside Cuba and have toured the world, captivating audiences in Europe and the United States, as well as throughout Latin America and even Asia.
Los Van Van also said on its Facebook account that it will perform on April 30 at the Bandshell in Miami Beach, in South Florida, and called on its followers to dance on both concerts.
