The presence of Cuban music and musical industry was felt in Portugal during the celebration of the 2021 Womex International Fair, which took place between October 27th and 31st.
According to what Prensa Latina published, Cuba was represented in this worldwide musical industry event by record labels like EGREM, Bis Music from Artex, and Abdala, also by the Cuban Institute of Music and Cubadisco.
The fair constituted an ideal space for those interested in knowing, in the Cuban stand, the work done by the recording studies of the Abdala label, which has Cuba’s largest recording studios, and also to know the work of other record labels in the largest of the Antilles.
Cuba made good use of its presence in the 2021 Womex to advertise events like Cubadisco, and also to make known its musicians’ worth.
The island’s musical industry is inserted, once again, in international events aiming to foster the commercialization of one of the most spread forms of cultural expression.
