The name of Arsenio Rodríguez becomes essential when we talk about popular Cuban music, especially traditionalSon. The band named after him gave an online concert belonging to the EstamosContigo project, this Wednesday, January 6^th, in the afternoon.

With this band’s original format, the tres player and composer Ignacio Loyola Rodríguez, which was the real name of the musician known as Arsenio Rodríguez, started the era of bands and a new stage for the sound and interpretation of Cuban Son, with a greater harmonic richness. This even made possible the presence of more trumpets, drums, and a piano, also allowing a more relevant role for the singer in the group.

The current organization of the band maintains the sonority that its founder printed it with, what is appreciable in the interpretation of the following songs: Pasó en Tampa, Me Boté de Guano, Llegó para Quedarse, Caseramiraquecaña, and La Fonda de Bienvenido.
