Habana Camerata Was Awarded the 1st Prize in the World Open Music Competition

The Cuban orchestra Habana Camerata was awarded the 1st Prize in the category of Ensemble in the 12th World Open Music Competition of Belgrade, Serbia. All of this, representing the Cuban Institute of Music.

Its director; David Pérez Anido received a special acknowledgement from the Music Teacher Associations in Serbia for his outstanding teaching skills while training the contest’s winners.

The contest, which has more than 10 years after its foundation, took place virtually with a program of 15 minutes of music, where Cuban and Universal music was performed. It is the first time that Cuba participates and is awarded the 1st Prize out of 50 other countries.

Habana Camerata was founded in 2017 and it is formed by 11 young instrumentalists, who graduated from the art schools in our country.
