The musical group Havana D'Primera will be one of the guests at the second Pichincha Libertaria Festival, a cultural and recreational event that will begin this Friday in the capital of Ecuador.

The meeting will take place today and tomorrow at the Bicentennial Park, in the north of the city, where thousands of spectators are expected to arrive as part of the celebrations for the 201st anniversary of the Battle of Pichincha, a feat that sealed independence from the Spanish yoke.

Tonight, artists Andy Rivera, Migrantes, Mugre Sur, Jazz the Roots, Viuda Negra, Ilyari y los Cuatro Suyos, and Lolabu will perform.

On Saturday, in addition to the Cuban group led by Alexander Abreu, Oscar D' León, Los Chingualeros, Kev Santos, Kandela & Son 5G will take the stage.

In a video posted on social networks, Abreu said he was happy to offer his music to Ecuadorians.

The director of Culture of the prefecture of Pichincha, Cristhian Pino, expressed to the local radio station of the province that the interest is to turn Pichincha Libertaria into a festival of regional scale.

According to the media, last year's event left encouraging figures, with sales of more than 220 thousand dollars and more than 500 jobs generated.
