The freest and most communicative spirit of jazz, which makes this music style a privileged area of confluences and intersections, is the one represented by musician, composer, and arranger Jonathan Hoard, who will perform two live concerts in Havana on June 28-29.

Soul-like and hip hop sounds are mixed in a musical proposal that evokes, simultaneously, the religious songs performed at churches in black communities and the cosmopolitanism of New York.

In fact, Hoard is now a renowned artist on the New York music scene. In addition to his solo appearances, he shares the stage with performers such as Bryan Carter and his Young Swangers Orchestra, Santino Fontana, and Michael Mwenso.

He has composed and arranged music for groups such as Sonnymoon, The Love Experiment, Dinamo and BIG YUKI, and has also become a young reference for hip hop performers in the big American city.

This eclectic training can be witnessed in his two live concerts in Havana: the first, on June 28 at the Martí Theater and the second, on June 29 at the Theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts, both at 7:00 p.m.

Jonathan Hoard will be also involved in exchanges with musicians, students of the art education system, among other activities.
