World musicians strengthen ties from Santiago de Cuba

Recent interviews with Spanish singer Pilar Boyero, a copla singer; and the group Los Angeles, have been broadcast on local radio in this eastern city.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Gonzalo Gonzalez, a communicator and cultural promoter, noted that these conversations, recorded during the San Remo Festival, which ended a few days ago in Havana, are added to a long list of artists from all over the world that he has contacted.

The expert from the Siboney Studios, attached to Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (Egrem), said that these recordings were broadcast mainly on Sunday, in the program Aquí de nuevo, on the provincial radio station CMKC, which he founded in 1988.

Other personalities whom he has interviewed included Andy Montañez, Angela Carrasco, Cheo Feliciano, Danny Rivera, Cucu Diamantes, Johnny Ventura, Luis Garbey, Lil Rodriguez, Maridalia Hernandez and Sonia Silvestre, Moncho (el gitano del bolero), Simon Diaz, Yordano Di Marzo and Victor Victor, among others, he pointed out.

Gonzalez mentioned Cuban figures such as Amaury Perez, Adela Legra, Beatriz Marquez, Consuelo Vidal, Digna Guerra, Elena Burke, Eliades Ochoa, Electo Silva, Enrique Almirante, Enrique Molina, Fernando Borrego (Polo Montañes) and Ricardo Repilado (Compay Segundo).

The notable list of personalities also includes Omara Portuondo, Patricio Wood, Miriam Ramos, Olga Portuondo, Osvaldo Doimeadios, Pancho Amat, Maria de los Angeles Santana, Juan Formell and Luis Carbonell.
